Caroline Gilchrist Rhea, a Canadian actress and stand-up comedian, was born on April 13, 1964. She is best known for playing Hilda Spellman on the ABC series Sabrina the Teenage Witch. For HBO, Showtime, and Bravo, she has performed in three one-hour stand-up specials, among other comedy specials. She is also well known for providing the voice of Linda Flynn-Fletcher in the Disney Channel comedy Phineas and Ferb and for appearing frequently alongside her friend Whoopi Goldberg on Hollywood Squares. Rhea hosted The Biggest Loser on NBC for the first three seasons after being picked by Rosie O’Donnell to be the next hostess of her syndicated talk show (now known as The Caroline Rhea Show).
She reprises her roles as Eugenia Scrimmage in the Bruno & Boots film series and Noleta Nethercott in A Very Sordid Wedding in addition to her regular appearances on ABC’s Match Game with Alec Baldwin. Later, in the program Sydney too, she made a comeback on Disney Channel. Rhea, the daughter of obstetrician Margery Rhea and gynaecologist David Rhea, was born and reared in Westmount, Quebec. Celia and Cynthia are her sisters. She attended the University of Arizona, Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia, and The Study, a private, all-girls institution in Westmount, Quebec.
