Stuntman Grant Pageâs son has tragically announced his death, with the movie star passing away after a car accident, his family has said.
The Mad Max and Furiosa star was driving alone when his vehicle collided with a tree, and emergency services rushed to the scene. Ambulances and cops dashed to the incident within minutes, but tragically despite their best efforts, could not prevent Grant Pageâs death from the crash. His son has described the stuntman as a âlegendâ and said he was still working on upcoming movies. Tributes have since poured in for the celebrity.

Grant Pageâs son, Leroy, 49, announced his death in a statement with Daily Mail Australia.
He said: âHe died in very high spirits and he was very motivated. He was very happy.â
No further details about the incident has been confirmed, with the accident taking place on Thursday, in New South Wales, Australia.

He recently worked on Mad Max prequel Furiosa, which is scheduled to premiere later this year, as well as Three Thousand Years of Longing.
Grant Pageâs career began in the 1970s, and friends in the industry have honored the star with tributes.
Film critic Dr Luke Buckmaster called Page âbold, brilliant, devilishly cheekyâ saying he has left behind a legacy âwritten in tyre streaks and burn marksâ.
Page is survived by his four sons, Leroy, Adrian, 52, Jeremy, 51, and Gulliver 47, as well as ex-wife Joy and partner Ulli.
âDevastating newsâ
After hearing about his death, Grant Pageâs former manager Brian Trenchard-Smith said yesterday: âGrant Page was Australiaâs pioneer stunt performer and my friend for fifty-two years.
âI will miss him terribly. He was an inspiring man, who lived uncompromisingly.
âMost people accept that age weighs upon us, gravity holds us down, death awaits us if we dare too much. Not necessarily, said Grant, as he successfully tampered with the laws of physics and probability.â
Pageâs manager also spoke of his âextraordinary abilityâ when it came to his stuntman skills.
He added: âHeâs the guy you get to dodge the cars, slide down the cliff on fire, jump into the water and fight the shark.â
Jamie Blanks, Australian director, penned: âI just learned the devastating news of the passing of legendary Australian stuntman, and my dear friend, Grant Page.
âGrant was one of the most wonderful, kind and brave men I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.
âI mourn the loss of this Aussie legend deeply today. RIP Grant.â
