A new season of Glow Up is now streaming on Netflix! The feel-good British competition series enlists some of the best up-and-coming make-up artists to compete for a change at a career-making opportunity in the beauty industry. Who ends up winning Glow Up season 5?

Spoilers ahead for Glow Up season 5

The finale introduces us to the four finalists out of ten contestants: Saphron, Roo, Keiran, and Axel. Ultimately, everyone but Keiran moves on to the final round. Out of Saphron, Roo, and Axel, who wins the competition and becomes the latest Glow Up champion?

The winner of Glow Up season 5 is the British make-up artist Saphron Morgan. Throughout the season, she has consistently impressed the judges with her specializations in fantastical make-up. For the final challenge, the three finalists had to deliver an exceptional masterclass on make-up to leading industry experts. The judges were incredibly impressed with Saphron’s work, calling her a true artist.

Upon winning, Saphron encourages viewers who might feel shy to push themselves outside of their comfort zone because you never know what will happen! Prior to the reality show, the 23-year-old hair and make-up artist worked as a pizza delivery driver. In the finale, she shares her excitement for the future and her hopes of leaving delivery driving behind to do make-up full-time.

Even though Glow Up season 5 only came to Netflix in September 2023, the British series actually premiered in the UK a few months earlier this year. Since the season debuted, Saphron has continued pursuing her dreams.

While chatting with BBC Three on her win, she revealed that she had recently finished studying hair and make-up for theatre and media at Northbrook College. For now, Saphron continues to show off her latest make-up and hair creations via social media. Her work has also been featured in Selin Magazine and on the clothing website Jaden London.

She tells the outlet that she’s still processing what it means to be the latest Glow Up champ, but Saphron’s dreams ahead lie in prosthetics and making her own fantasy characters.

"“I love mixing beauty with something weird and ugly,” she says. “I’d love to do a fashion week show, like imagine being at London or Paris? That would be so cool."

It sounds like Saphron has a good head on her shoulders and she’s extremely excited for what her future holds!
